Jeroma Smiles is a Christian school in Entebbe Katabi, Uganda, devoted to secure, comprehensive education that grows the whole child — mind, body and spirit.
To offer the best approach to education and security to pupils and build parental confidence in a progressive way across East Africa.
To provide secure, comprehensive Christian education while nurturing pupils' mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
To foster responsibility in children and create trust and satisfaction for parents through consistent mentorship and care.
"Every child deserves to walk into a classroom and feel they belong. That was the promise I made when we opened our doors."
Jeroma Smiles began with a simple conviction: that children in our community deserved an education that took their whole life seriously — their academics, yes, but also their safety, their character, and their faith. What started as a small group of pupils meeting in a borrowed space has grown, year by year, into a school where families know their children are seen, known, and loved.
The journey hasn't been linear. There were seasons of stretched resources, long evenings preparing classrooms, and moments of doubt. But there were also the smiles — pupils running into the gate in the morning, parents quietly thanking a teacher at pick-up, a Primary 2 child reading her first full sentence aloud. Those smiles became the school's name.
— The Founder, Jeroma Smiles
At Jeroma Smiles we believe every child carries a light worth nurturing. Our approach blends strong academics with security, character and faith — so pupils grow in mind, body and spirit together. Parents trust us because we walk alongside them, with consistent mentorship and genuine care.
A comprehensive curriculum that sets pupils up to thrive in primary, secondary and beyond.
A protected, caring environment where every child feels at home from the moment they arrive.
Faith and values woven gently through everyday school life — never forced, always welcoming.
Consistent guidance from teachers who know each pupil's name, their story, and their potential.
When little Sarah joined Jeroma Smiles, she barely spoke. Her parents told us she was shy, that she didn't think she was good at reading, that school felt big and noisy. Her first teacher, Madam Joyce, paired her with a buddy and started each morning with the same gentle question: "What's one bright thing today?"
By the second term, Sarah was raising her hand in class. By the third, she was the one running up to new pupils at the gate, taking their hand, and asking "Do you want me to show you around?" Last year she led the Primary 5 morning prayer at assembly — voice steady, smile bigger than the room.
There are hundreds of stories like Sarah's at Jeroma Smiles. Quiet beginnings. Bright endings. Brighter days, every day.
Small enough to know every child by name. Serious enough to take their future seriously.
The six promises we make to every child who walks through our gate.
